How long does CIPD Level 7 take?

The CIPD level 7 Advanced Diploma in Strategic Learning and Development takes 21-23 months to complete.  

What is CIPD Level 7 equivalent to?

The CIPD Level 7 Advanced Diploma is the most advanced Human Resources qualification you can take with the CIPD. It’s equivalent to a postgraduate degree. It is typically on the same level as a master’s degree. 

What will I need to start the CIPD Level 7 Advanced Diploma?

The CIPD Level 7 Advanced Diploma is tailored for individuals with substantial experience in HR or L&D, or those holding an HR degree. While a degree or university background is not mandatory for enrolment, candidates should be prepared to undertake studies at this advanced level.

Can I do CIPD Level 7 without Level 5?

Yes, you can. Although Level 5 is a great foundation for this course, and is recommended, significant management-level experience in HR can also be considered. It’s also possible to start at Level 7 if you already have relevant senior-level HR experience.

The CIPD Associate Diploma in People Management, also known as CIPD Level 5, is crafted for individuals with moderate HR experience seeking advancement into mid-level HR positions. It’s also suitable for those who have undertaken HR responsibilities in non-HR roles. 

The CIPD Advanced Diploma in Strategic People Management is also known as CIPD level 7. It targets individuals with substantial HR experience or an HR degree, who are prepared for postgraduate-level education. This diploma equips you for senior strategic HR positions and qualifies you to pursue CIPD Chartered Membership.

What is a CIPD Level 7 qualification?

CIPD Level 7 is the most advanced Human Resources qualification offered by the CIPD. It is comparable to a postgraduate or master’s degree. At this level, there are two qualifications available: one focusing on HR and the other on L&D. Achieving the CIPD Level 7 Diploma is necessary to attain CIPD Chartered Member or Chartered Fellow status.

Is CIPD Level 7 a master’s?

A CIPD Level 7 qualification is a postgraduate-level qualification in Human Resource Management (HRM). It will contribute to a complete Master’s degree; you can top up the qualification to an MA.

What is the highest HR qualification? 

In the CIPD, the Level 7 Advanced Diploma in Strategic People Management is roughly equivalent to a Master’s degree. It will put you on track to achieve CIPD Chartered status – the HR industry’s ultimate accolade. At university, it would be considered on the same level as an MA or MBA.
