Last night, Avado won the Editor’s Choice award for our innovative partnership with Xero at the PQ Magazine Awards.
Introduced in September 2018, Avado now provides accountancy learners across AAT and ACCA courses access to Xero’s Advisor Certification. Already issued to over 700 students, this certification provides the foundational skills and knowledge of Xero’s cloud-based accounting software to serve clients proficiently and effectively. Since the launch 97% of students believe Xero will be useful for their career. In 2018, there was a 61% rise in accountancy job listings requiring knowledge of Xero[1], this certification aims to increase learner employability through developing students’ digital skills
Commenting on the award Mike Day – Director, Education Sector at Xero has said:
“We are delighted to partner with Avado to offer Xero Certification to their students. Avado have always shown a very forward-thinking approach to providing their customers with access to the very latest digital skills which are in turn so vital to employability.
We have already seen cases where students are then taken on by accounting practices as a result of these very relevant skills. In fact, many treat it as a prerequisite”.
Avado and Xero’s innovative partnership is transforming the value of accountancy learning and is the springboard for providing our students with content that will boost their employability and set them up for success.
This is the third year in a row that Avado have been recognised at the prestigious PQ awards.
