Sage is the market leader when it comes to accounting software. Sage has been around for what feels like forever. The company was launched and remains in the North East of England despite becoming a global brand as it has continually grown since 1981. It is the biggest accountancy software package in the UK and the third largest worldwide and has evolved to cater for over six million users.Starting out at the dawn of computing they have not only witnessed the world go digital, they have had to adapt too, and they continue to do so. Beginning with the cumbersome Amstrad computers in the early eighties, light years from the powerful machines that fit in our pockets today. They have continued to evolve with technology as they move to the ‘cloud’ with the Sage Drive.
